About the site:
SheepGoatMarketing.info originated from the Northeast Sheep & Goat Marketing Project funded by USDA at Cornell University to improve the marketing infrastructure for sheep and goat farmers in the twelve northeastern states.
The web site was redesigned as a national information resource with special focus on the marketing of lamb and goat to ethnic and specialty markets when it was hosted by the University of Maryland for several years using NESARE funding obtained by Susan Schoenian.
Through the effort of the Cornell Small Farms Project Team on Livestock Marketing, the Small Farms Program at Cornell University provided funding in 2012 to again redesign the site and return it to be hosted by the Department of Animal Science at Cornell University.
In 2015, the site was completely re-written by the Department of Animal Science web developer to be more mobile-friendly.
